Barcelona took the lead in the 38th minute when the Lionel Messi put the ball in the back of the net from close range, and dispite most of the possession Zlatan Ibrahimovic got the equalizer against his old club with just 12 minutes on the clock from what looked to be an offside position. the game then became a little scrappy with booking after booking before Xavi scored with little over a minute left on the clock, and it looked like the Catalans had used their get out of jail free card as PSG kept pumping the ball upto Ibrahimovic who gave away free kick after free kick trying to rescue the game. Then with just 15 seconds left of the alocated 4 minutes of injury time the ball was knocked up to the big Swedish International who’s knock down left it to Blaise Matuidi to rescue the draw.
Barcelona hearts sunk as the rapture of delight ran through the Paris stadium. this sureley sets up a mouth watering 2nd leg, but theres no doubt that PSG are up for the fight, with a a total of 8 bookings during the game and the whole of the Barca back 4 being carded im sure it will leave a few nerves shattered in Spain. The biggest worry for the catalans being the fact that Messi went off injured in the first half, he will undergo a scan on his suspected hamstring but with the return leg pencilled in for the 10th April without their tallisman will they have whats needed to overcome Zlatan and co.
