Tottenham Hotspur deliverd an outstanding performance to beat Inter Milan 3-0 and take a giant step towards reaching the Europa League quarter-finals.

Gareth Bale scored his tenth goal in his last eight games for Spurs on a famous night at White Hart Lane, and Gylfi Sigurdsson and Jan Vertonghen completed the scoring as Andre Villas-Boas’ side remained completely dominant, and it will take a massive effort from Inter to recover in the second leg next week.

Bale tormented  Inter  in the Champions League in 2010 and it took him just six minutes to offer the Italians a reminder of his quality with an excellent header into the bottom corner to put Spurs in front after rising high above his defender to meet Sigurdsson’s left-wing cross.

One thing spurs must be ready for is a battle back in Italy but if they can keep Bale fit and fresh for the return leg I can’t see them stopping Tottenham from making it to the quarter finals, and with only 8 teams left is it time for the Londoners to start believing.
